Master Plan for YMCA Powel Crosley Branch compliments existing architecture.
A new master plan was created for this large Greater Cincinnati YMCA branch allowing for phases of execution. The first phase included a new major addition of a fun indoor water park. The addition was planned to allow easy connectivity via vestibule to the existing indoor pool, main lobby and the exterior pool area. This 11,000 SF addition that compliments the existing architecture, includes a new water park, complete with slides, current channel, lap lanes, zero entry for young kids and interactive water features in the shallow area of the warm water pool.
Pool area accommodates patrons of all ages
Support spaces within the new addition include a snack shop to serve the exterior pool, pool office, and large conference room for general meetings and children’s pool parties. The Lap lanes with warmer water are nice for the many seniors that use the facility. They are also used for swim lessons and water aerobics. Future phases were designed into the master plan that included a new outside pool (completed) a new men’s and women’s locker rooms addition to serve the facility, a new main entry with larger lobby and gathering space and additional gym space.
