In an urban redevelopment area in the center of downtown Springfield, OH, a new 470,000 sf, $150 million facility will replace two community hospitals that have merged operations. The project is composed of four functional elements: a five-story patient tower, a three-story hospital services block, a special services pavilion and a medical office building. A public concourse containing waiting space, chapel, gift shop and other “retail” functions connect all elements of the hospital.
